Three up for the Rugby RCC 3-Up
Ratae entered three teams in the Rugby RCC 3-Up 10 mile team Time Trials at Mallory Park circuit on Monday 29 June. Although we didn't win any prizes all three teams posted competitive times over the full course which took in the climb to the hairpin bend over the eight circuits. Our teams were: Peter Kott, Mark Newton and Brian Bonsor in 28:58.0 Lucy Sturgess, Natalie Harris and Amy Bonsor in 30:31.7 Lesley Allden, Martin Bonsor and Sue Bonsor in 32:14.5

Sue Bonsor, Ratae's recently appointed Women's Officer, organised her first event of the year, a social ride to Manor Farm at Catthorpe, which took place on Saturday 27 June. Founders' Day details
Whether you plan to ride or not entries for the Founders' Day event on July 5th are now open. If you're riding we'll be meeting at Jenno's cafe in Blaby at 9.00 where there will be a choice of fast, steady and off-road rides at 9.30 all finishing for lunch at the Cock inn at Peatling Magna at around 12.30. Please place and pay for your orders by 24th June. Route maps will be posted on WhatsApp closer to the date.

After a successful debut in 2025, the Round Robin TT Series is back for 2026. New faces on club committee
As most of you know we were unable to fill the posts of Chair and General Secretary at the AGM, added to which we have had two resignations since then. The committee extends the club's thanks to Alex Whitmore (retiring Membership Secretary) and Sarah Pearce (retiring Women's Officer). Congratulations to Biggi in LCXL season
In a month when most of us were looking out of the window waiting for the rain to stop, a competitive team of Ratae members were keeping up our fine run of a category winner in each season of racing in the Leicestershire Cyclo-Cross League. RIP Bill Powell - Colleen's tribute
It is with great sadness that the club announces the death of Bill Powell. Bill died peacefully in hospital on August 1st. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Colleen, Bill's wife,. Bill was a long-standing and Honorary Life Member who gave continued support to all aspects of club life once his racing days were over.
