Yesterday's, 23 July, Founders' Day event was even more successful than last year with fifty members and friends taking part in what was a highly enjoyable day. Even the rain gods smiled on us in what has otherwise been a pretty soggy July.
Superbly organised by Natalie Harris the day kicked off with a 9.00am meet up for coffees at Isabella's Cafe in Glen Parva (who did a great job of serving us all very quickly) followed by four rides which offered a choice for everyone; off-road, hill climbs, fast-ish road and a more relaxed road ride.
All groups arrived
back at the Black Horse in Aylestone for a buffet lunch, a few drinks and plenty of socialising.
Founders' Day has now cemented itself as one of the most popular events in the Ratae calendar and is a great opportunity to meet and chat with members who you might not meet often during the rest of the year. If you missed out on yesterday's do come along in 2024.
