Chris Sprott writes: It is with great sadness that my friend, cycling buddy and Ratae RC member David Manship unexpectedly passed away on 29th November 2023. David and I met through Leicester Forest Cycling Club where we raced the TT’s and were founder coaches of the Leicester Forest Rockets before moving on to Ratae RC where we continued to race, ride audax’s and eat lots of cake (our speciality). Pictured is David having completed the Ring of Kerry charity ride in 2022 after recovering from a broken hip. Gone but never forgotten.
