TdF? Pah! Natalie and Sylvia steal the day

On Saturday 26 June Natalie Harris and Sylvia Lawson completed an heroic sponsored ride from Leicester to Skegness in aid of the Leicester charity LOROS. Setting off from Leicester's clock tower at just before 6.00am they completed the 100 mile ride to the clock tower in Skegness in just over nine hours at an average road speed of 13.9 mph. There were a few PBs for both Natalie and Sylvia but other winners on the day were Loros's fund raising and the continuing success of women's racing and riding in Ratae RC.

Mark Newton provided the back up vehicle but the ride went without incident and Natalie's parents were on hand at the finish line with a welcome bottle of bubbly to go with the traditional Skeggy fish and chips.

Congratulations from everyone at Ratae and, it's not to late to donate to LOROS as both Natalie's and Sylvia's Just Giving pages are open at loros.co.uk/skegness
