The club had a fabulous night out at its annual dinner and prize giving on December 2nd. This year our guest of honour was ex-member Maxine Johnson who, in a glittering palmares, represented England twice in the Commonwealth Games and was the 1994 British National Road Race Champion.
Maxine was joined by President Peter Kott to present the prizes and the whole evening was kept running as smoothly as a Campagnolo Super Record groupset by MC Gary Sherrard.
A range of prizes were awarded, from members who had set record times whilst representing the club in Open competitions to those who had recorded PB's in club events. Chapau! to them all but particularly Ed Watson who almost cleared the trophy table single-handedly.
It was good to be back at The Taste Restaurant who once again provided a wonderful meal with great service. Thanks to everyone at Leicester College and all club members who worked hard to make the annual dinner such an enjoyable event. Great stuff!!
